Dunlop welcomes Wrightbus contract

Jayne DunlopAlliance North Antrim Representative Jayne Dunlop has welcomed the announcement by Wrightbus of a £55m contract to build 334 buses for British bus firm Arriva. The order is believed to be worth 6 months of work and will be delivered in the second half of 2011.

Jayne Dunlop said: "I would like to pass on my congratulations to all the staff and managers at Wrightbus. Their hard work over the past few years has paid off with yet another large contract.

"This further demonstrates the fact that Wrightbus is one of Northern Ireland's leading companies. I hope to see them get more contracts in the future.

"It is great news for the local economy and shows that Northern Ireland is able to compete for such large contracts"
