Neeson calls for co-operation fro Sunnylands

Alderman Sean Neeson is calling on all five councillors for the Castle area to work together as a team to ensure that a new community centre for Sunnylands.

Sean Neeson says:

"The five of us worked together as a team for the development of the Oakfield Centre. As all of us have close associations with Sunnylands I am optimistic this can be achieved. The existing centre is beyond the point of repair but it is very widely used by various organisations."

"Although we have had several meetings with Central Sunnylands Residents Association the next step is to meet with all the resident groups in the area as well as representatives of the various user groups."

"It is my hope that a considerable part of the £200, 000 that has been set aside to develop leisure facilities in the Castle are will go towards the cost of the new building.
