Frank McQuaid is a highly active and strongly visible local politician who believes strongly that the way forward in Northern Ireland is through the full implementation of the Good Friday Agreement. A vociferous supporter of law and order, Frank believes that the changes brought about by the Agreement are for the good of the whole community. He is publicly recognised for his endeavours to promote economic development within the Banbridge District and Northern Ireland as a whole. He has been very active in encouraging Invest Northern Ireland to build an industrial development off the A1. Agriculture is of paramount importance to Frank and he firmly believes that the plight of farmers here has yet to be properly addressed by both European Union institutions and the Government. If elected, Frank will work to establish schemes that would enable young people to make a decent living from the land.
