Ford hails deal but says community relations must be addressed

Alliance Leader David Ford

Alliance Leader David Ford has welcomed the Hillsborough justice deal but said progress is needed on the new community relations strategy and justice policies.

David Ford said: "This deal is a very significant breakthrough for the two parties; however, we require real progress on the new community relations strategy and on the policies for the new justice ministry.

"Alliance will always be constructive and will always do what's best for Northern Ireland. We will be continuing to work to secure progress on justice policies and shared future strategy, as both are essential for good government and a stable society."
