"I am concerned that full information is still not available on the future of Avaya workers at the Nortel factory in Monkstown."

Alliance Enterprise Spokesperson and local MLA Seán Neeson has called for clarity on the future of Avaya at the Nortel plant. Last week, reports emerged that the Monkstown's Avaya plant could potentially be closing.

Seán Neeson MLA said: "I am concerned that full information is still not available on the future of Avaya workers at the Nortel factory in Monkstown.

"I have been in contact with the Enterprise Minister's Office and Invest NI but I am still not clear about the future plans for Nortel. It is in the interests of everyone that this is made clear as soon as possible.

"Hundreds of people's livelihoods are at stake and this is far too big an issue for there to be any lack of clarity as regards the future."
