McCarthy shocked at car ramming incident10.24.00am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 9th Jun 2009
Strangford Alliance MLA Kieran McCarthy MLA has expressed disgust at news of a car ramming incident which took place last night in the Comber Road in Newtownards. Two women ended up in hospital following this incident. Kieran McCarthy MLA said: "It is staggering that a horrific event like this can happen on our roads. This is the type of thing that you only expect to see in films. "What sort of people would attempt to ram another person's car off the road? "This must have been an extremely traumatic experience for the two women subjected to this. "I want to wish the two women a speedy recovery and I want to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact police immediately." ENDS
