Speaking about the Antrim Council Christmas Fair, Councillor David Ford, Chair of the Fair Trade Working Group at the Council, said: "The Christmas Fair organised by council staff has been very successful in the last couple of years. It gives people in Antrim the opportunity to buy goods which will benefit producers in developing countries - rather than most of the profit going to others.
"People can be assured that they will get a fair deal at the Christmas Fair, just the same as those who produce the goods. I am delighted that we are able to provide a showcase for a number of people who sell fair trade goods in the Antrim area, and I urge local people to come along and support them."
