Alliance Coleraine Councillor Barney Fitzpatrick has condemned the attack on Sandelford Special School. There have been a series of attacks which has disrupted classes for pupils. School pupils were prevented from going to school because buses were vandalised.
Cllr Fitzpatrick said: "These disgraceful attacks achieve absolutely nothing except to disrupt the education of children. They are despicable acts that were carried out by thugs who have nothing better to do with their time than to cause people distress.
"It can be very damaging for some of these children to have their routine disrupted. If the people who carried out these attacks realised how much distress they had caused for these children and their families, I would hope they would stop this vandalism.
"I would appeal to anyone who witnesses any of these attacks to contact police immediately."
