Boyle condemns sex attacks in Coleraine4.50.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 8th Jul 2008
Local Alliance Representative Yvonne Boyle has condemned two attacks on two teenage girls in Coleraine which took place on Sunday. The incidents happened in the Crescent area of the town in the early hours of Sunday morning. Yvonne Boyle said: "These were two potentially horrific incidents that were only prevented by the vigilance of the two teenagers. The two teenage girls have gone through deeply traumatic ordeals. The attacker must be apprehended as soon as possible in order to protect people in the area. Anyone who can help the police in catching the culprit should contact them immediately. "Incidents like this send a massive shockwave through the community and I would call on young people to ensure they are not out and about on their own at night." ENDS
