McCarthy says DUP is in disarray over stadium issue11.58.00am BST (GMT +0100) Mon 23rd Jun 2008
Alliance Culture Arts and Leisure Spokesperson Kieran McCarthy MLA has stated that the DUP is in disarray over the Maze stadium issue and said Northern Ireland needs a shared stadium, not a small stadium that only one sport will use. Kieran McCarthy MLA stated: "The DUP is in total disarray over plans for a multi-sports stadium. The Maze stadium is still the only show in town and the DUP leadership would do well to realise that. "We need a shared stadium which the GAA, rugby and football can all make their home. What we do not what is a small stadium that only one sport will use. It's high time this Executive had more ambition because that is what Northern Ireland needs in order to move forward." ENDS
