Lynch slams thugs who damaged North Belfast charity building

Alliance North Belfast representative Gerry Lynch has hit out at those who stole lead lining from the roof of a charity on the Antrim Road in Belfast. The charity, which runs cross-community and care schemes, could face a bill of several thousand pounds to repair the damage caused by the thieves.

Gerry Lynch said: "These vandals have done a lot of damage to a charity which does excellent cross-community work in the area. The charity will now have to spend a lot of money on repairing the roof - money which they would have otherwise spent continuing their good work.

"What type of people would stoop so low as to rob from a charity? I would appeal to anyone with information on this incident to contact police immediately."
