East Antrim Alliance MLA Seán Neeson

East Antrim Alliance MLA Seán Neeson has hit out at those involved in a gun attack on a house in Carrickfergus last night stating that such incidents create a cloud of fear that hangs over the local community. The house in the Glenfield Walk area of the town was attacked at 11pm last night.

Seán Neeson MLA said: "I am sickened by this gun attack. There was trouble in the town in on Saturday and this incident compounds the problems in the area.

"Such attacks create a cloud of fear that hangs over the community and this is totally unacceptable. I would appeal to anyone with information on the attack to contact police so that those who are intimidating the community can be taken off the streets."
