Long expresses condolences following death of Dickie Best4.26.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Wed 16th Apr 2008
Castlereagh Alliance Councillor Michael Long has expressed his condolences at news of the death of Dickie Best. He said that that Mr Best was a man of great dignity and will be much missed by people in the area. Cllr Michael Long, who represents the Cregagh area where Mr Best lived, said: "I am deeply saddened at the news of the death of Dickie Best. He was a man who carried himself with great dignity during difficult times in recent years. He was a much-loved and well-respected local figure and will be much missed in the area. "I met him on several occasions and he was a very warm and friendly person. I want to express my deepest condolences to his family at this most difficult of times." ENDS
