Campbell expresses deep sadness at death of man in Mallusk tyre accident

Newtownabbey Alliance Councillor Tom Campbell

Newtownabbey Alliance Councillor Tom Campbell has stated that he is deeply saddened at news that a man died when a tyre exploded at Montgomery Transport's depot in Mallusk yesterday.

Cllr Tom Campbell said: "I'm very shocked at news of this tragic death. I am deeply saddened that someone has lost their life whist they were simply going about their everyday business.

"My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the man who died and I want to pass on my deepest condolences to them."

"I welcome the early investigation of the Health and Safety Executive into this distressing accident."
