Neeson welcomes investment for Schrader Electronics

Alliance Enterprise Spokesperson Seán Neeson MLA has hailed news that Schrader Electronics, who have operations in Carrickfergus in Antrim, have announced a £4.6 million investment in training, and research and development. The company produces tyre pressure monitoring equipment.

The East Antrim MLA said: "I wish to welcome this major investment. Hopefully this funding will result in more orders being placed with the company.

"This investment will let the company increase their expertise to meet the demand for their products. Research and development are important areas in which Northern Ireland must flourish, if we are to grow our economy. Schrader Electronics sets an excellent example for other companies in Northern Ireland.

"This is a major boost for the local economy, and more orders which may follow as a result of this investment will have a very positive knock-on effect in the region."
