Alliance Economy Spokesperson Cllr Ian James Parsley has said that the revelations of recent days leave the DUP's reputation for financial management in tatters.

North Down Councillor, Ian James Parsley stated: "The DUP has made great play of how it will deliver efficiency in public services and low rates for taxpayers.

"Its own actions tell an appallingly different story. From the First Minister down, the party is now deeply tainted.

"No wonder the DUP was so unworried by leaving the rate payer to pay for four expensive bureaucrats to a job designed for one, when they themselves were racking up unbelievable expenses paid for by the taxpayer.

"The DUP do not have the judgement to be stewards of public funds at any level."
