McCarthy says international collaboration to fight cancer is good news12.06.00pm GMT Mon 12th Nov 2007
Alliance Health Spokesperson Kieran McCarthy MLA has strongly welcomed news that Queens University have unveiled a research group which will work together with the Indian Ministry of Biotechnology to find better ways of tackling cancer. The Strangford MLA said: "This scheme is great news and points the way forward for finding improved ways of combating illness. "Sharing expertise is very worthwhile and greater collaboration can only improve cancer treatment. "Cancer is a massive worldwide killer and all steps that can be taken must be taken to make progress on fighting it." ENDS
