Neeson hails 100 IT job boost for Belfast10.03.38am BST (GMT +0100) Thu 14th Jun 2007
Alliance Economy Spokesperson Seán Neeson MLA has strongly welcomed news that a Belfast-based IT company is creating 100 new jobs locally and stated that the creation of such high-value jobs are a must to expand our economy. Lagan Technologies, which supplies software solutions to governments in North America and Europe, announced the creation of the new jobs today. The East Antrim MLA stated: "This announcement of 100 new jobs for a Belfast-based IT firm is great news "These new posts will be high-value jobs, and they are exactly what is needed to ensure sustainable economic growth locally. These new positions will strengthen our economy in Northern Ireland. "Northern Ireland has a highly-skilled, well-trained workforce, and to make progress economically we simply must continue to create the circumstances that allows our local companies to grow while also attracting inward investment."
