Alliance Leader tells First Minister - publish cost of segregation now5.56.11pm BST (GMT +0100) Mon 11th Jun 2007
During questions to the First Minister, Ian Paisley today, Alliance Leader David Ford asked when OFMDFM would publish the highly-publicised Deloitte report on the cost of managing a divided society. David Ford said: "Deloittes have finished their study on the cost of segregation. However OFMDFM are taking their time in publishing it. No more time can be wasted in tackling segregation. Already local people are missing out on one billion pounds every year, which could be spent on delivering better frontline services. "OFMDFM have spent tens of thousands of pounds in getting Deloittes to conduct a study. OFMDFM must stop sitting on this report and should publish it now to enable us to set about ending division locally." ENDS
