Long hails £200 million Bombardier boost for East Belfast

Alliance Deputy Leader and East Belfast Assembly Member Naomi Long has welcomed today's news that Bombardier has clinched a £200 million order for new aircraft from Flybe. The airline ordered 15 new turbo-prop aeroplanes which will partly be built at Shorts in East Belfast.

The East Belfast Assembly Member said: "I strongly welcome this announcement and I hope it continues to secure the future of the company in East Belfast.

"Today's order from Flybe will deliver a well deserved boost to Shorts and its employees.

"This news is not only good for East Belfast, but is beneficial to the Northern Ireland economy as a whole."
