Alliance Party Leader David Ford MLA has said the electorate has a right to know what the DUP is doing, after its executive aimed for a delay in the restart of devolution.

David Ford stated: "The DUP leadership is contradicting itself. It claimed it was condition-led, not calendar-led, yet it has demanded a delay to devolution without stating what the conditions are.

"The people who voted earlier this month have a right to know what is going on. We have had the election, we have received our mandate, now is the time to get to work.

"It appears the DUP is playing to a different calendar from the electorate who expect us to be allowed to do the jobs we were elected to do."
