McCarthy shocked at murder of 92-year-old man in Dundonald

Alliance Strangford Representative, Ald Kieran McCarthy has expressed shock and sadness following the news that police are treating the death of a 92-year-old man in Dundonald as murder. The body of Charles Steed was found at a house in Canberra Park in Dundonald on Monday, and police have today stated that they believe he was murdered.

Kieran McCarthy said: "I am shocked and saddened that a 92-year-old man has been murdered in his home in Dundonald.

"The news that police are treating this case as murder will shock the whole community and it is extremely distressing. I cannot comprehend the type of person who would carry out such a callous act.

"I would appeal to anyone with information on this incident to contact police immediately, to ensure that those involved can be swiftly brought to justice."
