Alliance Party MLA Kieran McCarthy, has hit out at the DUP an UUP after they moved to prevent the Ombudsman's Report from being debated in Monday's final Assembly sitting. In the Assembly Business Committee, Kieran McCarthy said that it is essential that a debate is held on the report on Monday. The Strangford MLA said: "I believe that that a debate on the Ombudsman's report should be included in Monday's proceedings. "We have up until midnight next Monday to conduct Assembly debates and we absolutely must debate this issue. "It is essential that we have the chance to discuss this report within the Assembly so that everyone can voice their thoughts and concerns on this most important of issues." ENDS
