Alliance congratulates Lewsley on appointment as Childrens' Commissioner3.49.42pm GMT Fri 15th Dec 2006
Alliance Deputy Leader, Naomi Long MLA, has congratulated Patricia Lewsley on her appointment as Childrens' Commissioner. Her appointment was announced this morning. The East Belfast Assembly Member stated: "Patricia has a long record of public service as an elected representative, first as a Belfast City Councillor and latterly as a Lisburn City Councillor and Assembly Member for Lagan Valley. "During this time she has highlighted the issue of childrens' rights as one of her key concerns. We wish her well in this new appointment and trust that her passion for children and young people will be of great benefit to the sector." ENDS
