Alliance North Down Councillor Tony Hill has condemned those behind a fatal attack in Kilcooley last night. He said the attack was no way to make progress, and that it blemished the estate's name yet again.

The Bangor West representative stated: "I, like the vast majority of people in the area, am totally appalled by yet another waste of human life. This sort of thing simply should not happen.

"A lot of people have been working extremely hard to turn around the estate's reputation. This kind of thing not only destroys lives, but it destroys communities.

"I would pass on my condolences to the family of the victim, and appeal to people to do all they can to enable the police to do their job in investigated what happened, and ensure that justice is served."
