McCarthy slams "morons" after arson attack11.28.13am BST (GMT +0100) Thu 17th Aug 2006
Alliance Party Chief Whip Kieran McCarthy has hit out at "morons" responsible for an attack on an essential community resource in Ballynahinch. Speaking after an attack on the local community centre, the Strangford Assembly member stated: "What on earth were these morons trying to prove by depriving people of this resource? "This is a devastating attack of service to no one. "Yet again we wake up to news of a community put in difficulty, fire officers extended, and more damage to property. "People must know who is responsible for this, and I would urge them to contact the police immediately." ENDS
