Alliance Party Castlereagh Councillor, Sara Duncan, has welcomed the announcement of funding for debt advice by the Enterprise Minister Maria Eagle. The funding contract will enable the Citizen's Advice Bureau (CAB) to deliver advice to people with debt problems.

Cllr Duncan, who does volunteer work with the Citizens Advice Bureau said: "Its great that the CAB has been awarded the contract to provide debt advice.

"The CAB provides a valuable advice and advocacy service to the general public and I am very pleased that they will be able to provide further services to the public. The funding will help provide one-on-one advice to people that would not normally have access to this type of resource.

"Debt can be such a devastating problem for people, so I am very glad that this funding has been allocated to help offer advice on this matter."
