Alliance Assembly Member Naomi Long has condemned a paramilitary-style attack in East Belfast last night.
Cllr Long, who also leads the Party Group on Belfast City Council, stated: "Yet again we awake to news of another attack, this time in Victoria Park.
"How long must this sort of thing go on? Violence merely leads to another cycle of violence, it solves nothing. There simply is no excuse for this type of act.
"People need to find other ways than violence otherwise it is the community as a whole that suffers."
