Hendron condemns Willowhome attack

Belfast Alliance Councillor Máire Hendron has condemned last night's attack on a woman in her home in the Willowhome area.

The Pottinger representative stated: "It is one thing for elderly people not to be able to go out at night, but it is reaching truly horrendous proportions when they are not safe in their own home.

"Such cowardly attacks have no place in any sort of civilized society, and those responsible simply have no excuse for such behaviour whatsoever.

"This is a terrible shock and I have no doubt the vast majority of people will wish a quick and full recovery."
