Long condemns Grove St attack2.42.00pm GMT Thu 19th Jan 2006 Alliance Assembly member Naomi Long has condemned a paramilitary attack on a man in Grove Street in East Belfast. The East Belfast MLA stated: "This attack must be condemned unreservedly. The culture of acceptance of such attacks must be ended. "Rather than complaining consistently about 'themmuns', responsible politicians should give some attention to the danger within their own communities. This kind of self-destruction must not be allowed to continue. "This, alongside an attack on a woman in the Cregagh area, is creating unease among the community which helps no one. "My thoughts are with both victims this morning." ENDS
