The East Belfast Alliance Association will be holding a Special Seminar on the likely effects that Devolution will have on the local community in Northern Ireland.

The Seminar will take place at the CIYMS, Circular Road, East Belfast on Thursday 1 April 1999 at 7.30pm. The event will be open to everybody and there will be a £4.00 registration fee.

Confirmed guests are, Dr Joe Hendron of the SDLP, Cedric Wilson of the NIUP and David Ford from Alliance. The Seminar will also include guest Will Glendining from the Community Relations Council, William Graham Political Editor from the Irish News and Robert Hannigan Political Affairs Director from Shandwick.

The organiser of the event, East Belfast Alliance Chair Glyn Roberts said:

"We hope that the event will give the wider local community in East Belfast a chance to question leading Assembly Members and other political experts on the likely impact of devolution in Northern Ireland. Alliance believe that it is absolutely vital that the community be given their say on the political development arising from the Good Friday Agreement."
