Vacuum breeds violence - Neeson

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Sun 4th Jun 2000

Alliance Party Leader Sean Neeson has condemned this morning's bomb attack on Ebrington Barracks as sinister and extremely worrying.

Mr Neeson said

"Undoubtedly dissident republicans are desperately trying to take advantage of the present political vacuum."

"It is up to politicians to show that democracy works and the sooner the Executive is re-established the better for all. "
