Neeson-loyalist violence undermining pro-agreement unionists12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Sat 10th Jun 2000 Alliance Party Leader Sean Neeson condemns last nights paramilitary shootings in Monkstown and claims such activities are undermining the peace process. Mr Neeson says: "Last nights attacks bring to three such incidents in my East Antrim constituency this week. It is ironic that these loyalist paramilitaries who are supposed to be pro-agreement are in fact seriously undermining the pro-agreement unionists. I would appeal for an end to such activities by loyalist and republican paramilitaries and try to assist the present peace process." "I strongly believe that this would provide the support to show that democracy really works in Northern Ireland". ENDS.
