Bomb attack on councillor condemned12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Wed 4th Sep 2002 Alliance's Newtownabbey Councillor, Lynn Frazer, has condemned the attack on her fellow councillor, Mark Langhammer, today. Cllr Frazer said: "This was an attack carried out by cowards on a councillor who has consistently represented all the people of Newtownabbey over the years. "Not only had this device the potential to kill or injure Mark Langhammer, but it exploded under the car he was about to drive his children to school in. That is utterly despicable. "If people need to, they can always talk to their local councillors about political issues. There is absolutely no need to resort to such contemptible methods." ENDS.
