Bell condemns Bangor shooting

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Fri 11th Oct 2002

Alliance North Down Assembly member Eileen Bell has condemned the shooting of a man in Bangor this morning.

Mrs Bell said: "I am very concerned that this feud has claimed yet another victim, and it is only through luck that this man was not killed."

"It does not matter who the victim or who was behind the attack, no-one ever has the right to take the law into their own hands in such a horrific manner."

"No reasonable person wants this feud to continue one minute longer than it already has done and so I would ask the people of Bangor to assist the police in any way they can."
