Alderdice looking forward to 'close race'

Alliance Westminster candidate David Alderdice has said that North Down is a 'three-way race'.

Speaking in Bangor on Tuesday evening, Dr Alderdice stated: "There is no doubt the people I've met across North Down are fed up with political stagnation, but they are not resigned to it.

"People are determined to make progress, people are determined to make Northern Ireland work, people are determined to make this a place we are all proud to call home.

"People have recognized that there is little real distinction between the Unionist parties now and that we are the only party that offers that progress. That is why this is very much a three-way race, and it is too close to call."
