Frazer welcomes teen advice service to Newtownabbey

12.00.00am GMT Tue 1st Mar 2005

NEWTOWNABBEY Councillor Lynn Frazer has welcomed the introduction of a new support group for teenage girls in the district called 'Choices'.

The sexual health advice service operates out of Whiteabbey Hospital on a part-time basis.

Councillor Frazer stated: "I welcome the establishment of 'Choices' to Newtownabbey. It is a good idea and deserves support, and I congratulate the Local Services Partnership for backing the project.

"'Choices' now also works in Ballyclare, and I would hope that eventually the service will be able to work in both areas on a more full-time basis.

"Teenage girls often face very difficult decision very early in life, and 'Choices' is there to help them."
