ALLIANCE Assembly member Sean Neeson has been selected as the party's candidate for the next Westminster election.

The East Antrim Assembly member said he was delighted to have been chosen to represent the party again at the polls.

Mr Neeson stated:

"It will be a three horse race in East Antrim, and I am looking forward to the challenge. The last time I stood I was runner up to the Ulster Unionist candidate, but this time I am the only credible candidate that has consistently supported the Agreement.

"As former Deputy Chair of Enterprise, Trade and Investment in the Assembly, employment was one of my main priorities. I am also Chairman of the Northern Ireland Assembly and Business Trust, which develops links between elected representatives and the business community.

"Securing jobs for East Antrim is something I have been heavily involved in for many years as an elected representative, and it remains a crucial issue for me.

"Political stability can bring prosperity as well as peace, and Alliance will be a commonsense voice for the ordinary person concerned with real issues."
