Get the vaccine, not the flu: Duncan

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Thu 30th Sep 2004

ALLIANCE Councillor Sara Duncan has urged those vulnerable to catching the flu to ensure they book an appointment with their doctor to be immunised.

Cllr Duncan stated:

"As someone who has benefited from the flu vaccine myself, I know it can be of great benefit to those who might otherwise suffer from this nasty illness. I would strongly urge those who are vulnerable, such as the elderly or diabetes sufferers, book an appointment with their GP now to take advantage of the extra supplies of the vaccine."
