Neeson welcomes gas agreement12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Thu 26th Aug 2004 Alliance Assembly Member, Sean Neeson, welcomes the agreement that has been reached between Phoenix Gas and the regulator, OFREG, about future contracts. The former Vice Chairman of the Assembly's Committee on Enterprise, Trade and Investment, said: "Hopefully this agreement will restore confidence to the natural gas industry in Northern Ireland for both domestic and business consumers. "However, I am concerned about the huge increase in gas prices that were made this week by British Gas, for consumers in Great Britain. "Obviously, this will have an impact on gas prices here. I hope to have discussions with all concerned to try and ensure that the increase in Northern Ireland will not be as great." ENDS
