Neeson condemns Carrickfergus attack

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Mon 26th Jul 2004

ALLIANCE Assembly member for East Antrim and Carrickfergus Councillor Sean Neeson has condemned the attack on a family in the Thomas Street area of Carrickfergus.

Mr Neeson stated:

"I am totally disgusted by this attack as three families have now been forced to leave Carrickfergus. These families have been long-established in the town and I know that this attack was carried out by people who I consider to be 'blow-ins' who think they own the area. They don't."
