Alliance welcomes Phoenix Gas price hike freeze12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Thu 8th Apr 2004 Speaking after Phoenix Gas announced that it would be suspending its 20 percent price hike today, Alliance Spokesperson on Enterprise, Trade and Investment, Assembly member Sean Neeson stated: "At long last common sense has prevailed. The important thing now is to ensure a long-term deal can be made with Centrica to ensure that stability is brought back to the industry and that natural gas is made available as widely as possible throughout Northern Ireland."
