Michael grew up in the Larne Harbour area. He has worked as a pharmacist and ran a pharmacy at Craigyhill. When Larne Health Centre opened he became Managing Director of that pharmacy until he retired.
Michael was awarded an MBE for services to the community through his citizens' advice work. He is currently Chair of the Townparks Residents Group.
