Judith was elected to the Assemby in May 2011 and sits on the Social Development and Finance and Personnel Committees. She is also a member of the Assembly Commission.

Judith Cochrane represented Castlereagh East between 2005 and 2011 and lives in East Befast. Judith sits on the Finance, Leisure and Technical Services Committees of the Council as well as Castlereagh Hills Golf Board. She is keen to ensure that the Council is open, transparent and accountable to the Castlereagh rate payers

Judith was previously the Constituency Manager of the Alliance East Belfast Constituency Office and has worked for the NICS; as a Management Consultant in the private sector; and in retail management. Her qualifications include a Masters in Business Administration from Queen's University and an honours degree in Nutrition from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.

In her spare time Judith is a leader in the Senior Section of the Girl Guides and plays hockey for Grosvenor Ladies Hockey Club. She is married with two young daughters and is Chair of the PTA in her eldest child's school, Greenwood Primary School.
