Alliance Antrim Councillor Neil Kelly has condemned the men responsible for threatening an ambulance crew in the Fountain Hill area of Antrim on Saturday. The ambulance crew were forced to return to their vehicle after two men approached them with steel bars during an emergency call out.

Cllr Neil Kelly said: "This ambulance crew were working on behalf of the community, so I cannot understand why they were threatened in this manner.

"The men who threatened this ambulance crew are just a bunch of thugs who are offering nothing to our society.

"If anybody has any information about this incident then I would urge them to contact the police."
